Gear for a class that does not exist in NG will probably be unusable until that Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta course is flashed over. That's probably for the best, so that way everyone is on equal footing and you do not have 8 year old vets dictating the economy for this game from the beginning. If we must start all over from lv1 again, let's at least expect that NGS will have a different enough character progression system it will not feel like a moot reset. For the time being, it looks like we must grab as many precious weapons and units as we could before it starts. At least they're giving us lots of resources to do that with all the EXP tickets and regular badge drops. Everyone asserting they got scammed isn't understanding that PSO2 will still exist and you won't really lose anything. Both in structure and in method. Something such as"crap NGS Advance Quests while angling for RNG PSE bursts for 20 levels on each and every course" would be a problem. Course levels with varying classes versus 80 character levels without a changeable classes) would help. This way the game still has the main core aspects players anticipate but is fresh and new at the exact same moment. I think it's still going to be instanced and not open world. Gameplay shown so far has revealed 8 player instance maxes. This would not break current AI systems, thinking about the existing AI simply follow your path or teleport to you if they get stuck. I'm thinking it is going to be a similar system to what Dragon's Dogma Online had. The world is huge and open, but everything out of cities was instanced. The world is huge and open, but everything out of cities was instanced. They watered down the scaling to a formula and changed a bunch of courses but now that it's gone I constantly wish to play with it. I'd absolutely love Dragon's Dogma Online-styled encounters in Phantasy Star if since it gives us a reason to learn more about the world (or at least rapid travel to it to jump in and out) and to have a challenge with all the directors and enemies. I would imagine with how New Genesis would potentially be balanced which hopefully every class is viable like how Dragon's Dogma Online cleaned up the vocations so that they were all complete packages that players could enlarge on and flesh out without needing to take part in things like what Phantasy Star Online 2 currently has (specifically Mags determining which courses you will excel at and your ability tree also ascertaining exactly what you gain and lose). I'd personally drop the whole skill tree, and the most important class/subclass method to have something like Dragon's Dogma Online did with all the habit skills, core skills, along with also the augments with the capability to mix-and-match reinforces, that everyone unlocks core abilities and has them together, and that players set their own playstyle with buy PSO2 Meseta their custom skills.
